About the Author

I was born on May 14 th, 1980, in Buenos Aires, Argentina. When I was two years old, I had the opportunity to relocate with my family to New York. I lived there until I was 13 years old. I grew up surrounded by the sounds of both languages and reaped the benefits of receiving a bilingual education.

Traveling abroad was a very uplifting and trying experience for my family. It was not easy adapting to a new culture, language, and country, but it was undoubtedly inspiring. When I returned to Buenos Aires in 1993, I attended a local school. It wasn´t easy adjusting to the local costumes and instability of Argentina.

When I was in High School, I could not decide what career to pursue. I was interested in teaching and journalism. Eventually, I decided to become a journalist, but I always kept my possibilities open. I obtained a BA in journalism in 2009.

I began teaching English in 1998 and started working as a freelance journalist in 2008. I have had the opportunity to work in a movie, write articles, conduct field research, work as a mystery shopper, and teach many inspiring students a beautiful language.

I enjoy interviewing people, investigating insightful topics, and teaching. You can learn something from anyone, and I always follow this premise in my work as a teacher and journalist. Curiosity has always been my drive to excel as a professional. I have a rich perspective on both Argentine and American culture and would like to convey this insight in my work.

When I first started this blog in 2006, the purpose was to write articles and interview interesting personalities. In this space, I felt free to explore different areas without any restrictions, editorial lines, or sponsors dictating my content. I can write whatever I want and interview who I like, and my audience knows this.

In 2017, I realized that I could actually make a change when I started posting about problems that I saw or encountered in my city. I posted these issues and reported them to the local city government. I reported traffic issues, like broken street traffic lights, lack of proper bus stops, and street crossings. I also explored social problems like alcoholism.

I noticed that posting these things on my blog and YouTube channel actually worked. The best and only reward I have received working on this blog is seeing the changes that I have been a part of. I love fixing things, the before and after. This gives me an incredible adrenaline rush. I feel empowered. I love it!
